Living with Niemann-Pick disease, caring for someone affected, or supporting the Niemann-Pick community comes with experiences that deserve to be heard. By sharing our stories, we can raise awareness, educate others, build connections, and advocate for meaningful change.

What Is Advocacy?

Advocacy is about using your voice, experiences, and actions to create positive change.

For the Niemann-Pick community, advocacy means raising awareness, educating others, supporting families, advancing research, and helping ensure that individuals affected by Niemann-Pick disease have access to the care, resources, and treatments they need.

You don’t have to be an expert or an experienced advocate to make a difference. Your lived experience is powerful, and sharing it is advocacy.

What Does Advocacy Look Like?

Advocacy can take many forms, and you may already be making a difference without realizing it.

Here are just a few examples:

Share Your Advocacy Story

Your experience could inspire someone else to speak up, help another family feel understood, or encourage meaningful change.

Whether you’ve advocated for your loved one’s medical needs, shared your journey publicly, connected with lawmakers, helped raise awareness, or simply had a conversation that made a difference, we want to hear from you.

You don’t need a major milestone or a remarkable achievement to have an advocacy story worth sharing. Sometimes, the smallest moments create the greatest impact.

By sharing your story, you help put a personal face to Niemann-Pick disease and remind others why our community’s needs, voices, and experiences matter.

Together, we can turn personal experiences into collective action.

Ready to share? We would love to hear from you.
