NNPDF Community Update…
NNPDF Community Update from Lisa Chavez, Board Chair
NOVEMBER 7, 2016
Dear NNPDF Community,
I hope that this letter finds you all transitioning into the fall well. We continue to transition ourselves here at the NNPDF and I would like to update you on where we are in this process.
As of the end of October, the Community Needs Assessment has been finalized and over the coming weeks, we will be distributing the findings, collecting your feedback through a survey, and then sharing with you the aggregated feedback. Our hope is that this will help us as a community to shape our collective future.
I am pleased to report that we have made progress along the way, both as a Board, reviewing the implications of the Community Needs Assessment, and undertaking an Internal Organizational Assessment. For the near term, I will continue to serve as a leadership point person and staff on site will continue to be a daily resource for families and other community members.
Many of you have met Amy Kant during the Community Needs Assessment process. Amy has agreed to help with the dissemination process for this second phase of the project. As well, she has also joined us in an interim half time capacity. She is completing an Internal Organizational Assessment and will be working on other organizational projects. Amy comes to us with over 20 years of leadership roles managing change within non-profits primarily in the Boston area.
Both the Community Needs Assessment and the Internal Organizational Assessment are critical for our shared understanding of where we are as a community. As you can imagine, these two projects are sensitive, and we need to do our utmost in taking the necessary time required to be thoughtful in moving forward.
We thank you for your continued patience.
Lisa Chavez, Board Chair
