NNPDF Message from the Board of Directors, September 6, 2016
An important message from the
National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation (NNPDF)
Dear NNPDF Community,
After 15 years of service to NNPDF, Nadine Hill has made the difficult decision to resign as Executive Director of the NNPDF. The effective date is being determined with the Board.
Nadine has served the NPD community with unmatched compassion for our families and we greatly appreciate all of her dedication in the fight for a cure. There are many families that will recall Nadine talking with them in their darkest days of diagnosis and encouraging them to persevere as she joined them in their journey on behalf of the NNPDF. She has collaborated with researchers, NPD organizations and other stakeholders to help bring the foundation to where we are today. While Nadine will be missed, we support her decision.
Moving forward, we are confident that the Board members and the central office staff will make the transition as seamless as possible. We plan to hire an interim Executive Director to both direct the foundation work and to take advantage of this transition time to work on another phase of our Strategic Planning, which is an internal look at how the NNPDF can best serve our membership and engage with our stakeholders.
We will provide regular updates throughout this transition period, appreciate your patience, and welcome you to reach out to the Board with any concerns. Board contact information is available at this link – http://nnpdf.org/about-us/nnpdf-board-of-directors/.
