Does my small contribution really make a difference? Research projects cost a lot of money. A pilot project can cost $25,000 or more and a large research project can cost $200,000 or more; however, each contribution we receive adds up to support the vital research needed to find treatments and a cure for Niemann-Pick Disease.  And research is making progress.  To learn more about research funded by the NNPDF, visit our Research pages.  Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference and drives research forward to win the fight against NPD.  The NNPDF and families affected by NPD deeply appreciate any contribution you are able to make, and we work hard to be good stewards of your gifts.

I don't have a lot of money to contribute to NNPDF.  What else can I do?

How does NNPDF use my contribution? The NNPDF uses your contribution to support research to find treatments and a cure for NPD.  We also use your support to help individuals and families affected by Niemann-Pick Disease.  For more information about what we do, click here.

How much of my contribution goes toward programs, and how much goes toward administration and fundraising? Nearly 90% of your contribution goes toward NNPDF programs, while just over 10% goes toward administration and fundraising.  This is far in excess of the percentage towards programs found in most organizations, which range from 50% to 75%.  For more information on NNPDF's financials and to see a copy of the Foundation's Federal Form 990, click here.
